Our History

Back in 2002, we realized there was a niche missing from the staffing industry, which is why we started ADDVantage Credit Union Staffing. It was our goal to provide credit unions with the best staffing services available.

The same year we opened for business, we made our 1st Teller/MSR placement at Santa Ana Credit Union in California. Within the year, our new staffing company placed over 100 additional candidates in credit unions, and due to our growth, we expanded our office three times!

Our initial success with placing Tellers/MSRs during our start up year made us well on our way to placing Loan Processors, Consumer Loan Officers, Call Center Reps, Collectors, Back-Office and others in various credit union positions. Today we still place Tellers, but when it comes to credit unions, there is nothing we cannot do.

ADDVantage Credit Union Staffing, has grown and expanded since 2002, but we still remember our beginnings and the opportunities that were given to us by all the credit unions we have served over the years. Our goals are still to go above and beyond for our credit unions; just liked we did in 2002 when a Teller was short $200.00.

Our families, who reside in Denver, Colorado, were on a one-week vacation in California on Catalina Island. This trip was something we had never done and always wanted to do even though we had lived in California the majority of lives. While vacationing, we received an alarming phone call that one of our Tellers on assignment was short $200.00! This was a first for us, and without hesitation, we jumped on the Catalina Express Ferry, hopped in a car, and drove from the Long Beach port to our credit union customer with a check for $200.00. To this day, nothing has changed. We still cover shortages and will jump through hoops and onto ferry boats for our customers.

About Our President

Joe began his career at United Parcel Service in 1983 and worked his way up to Technology Support Group Manager, responsible for the Metro Los Angeles District and over 5500 computers / computer systems. In 1997 Joe joined Kerri at Paragon Technical Staffing, which was growing by leaps and bounds; and was sold in 1999. Together with Kerri, Joe has been a big part in the growth and management of ADDVantage Credit Union Staffing.

About Our Founder

Kerri began in the staffing industry in 1992 after a career with IBM. She opened her own staffing company, Paragon Technical Staffing in 1995, and shortly after that, her husband Joe Smith joined the company. Paragon Technical Staffing was sold to a large national staffing firm in 1999. In 2002, Kerri and Joe started ADDVantage Credit Union Staffing to service credit unions across the nation.
